Obituary of John Womack

John Thomas Womack, 78, a lifelong resident of Raleigh, died Thursday evening, August 13, 2009 at WakeMed Raleigh Hospital.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Womack retired from Graphic Press with over 30 years of service. He coached baseball with the West Raleigh Little League and was an active member of Caraleigh Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir.

Mr. Womack is survived by his wife, Annie Barbour Womack; daughters, Gail McClung of Raleigh, Laura Ann Williams and her husband, Stephen R. Williams of Wilmington; sons, John Thomas Womack, Jr. and his wife, Beth Wilsdon of Benson, Guy Womack and his wife, Ellen of Clayton; grandchildren, Cliff, Ashley, Samantha, Robert, Rebecca, Matt, Katie and Mindi; great grandchildren, Lilly, Elizabeth, Maryann, Caleigh, Dara, Tewsday, Carpenter and John.
