Johnnie Frank Williams was born October 9, 1950 in Whiteville, North Carolina to the late Harlee and Ruthie Williams. He departed this life on July 1, 2023 completing his journey of 72 years. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers: Harvey Williams and Terry Williams, and one sister, Judy Williams.
Johnnie was a devoted husband, dedicated father, and loyal friend. Johnnie worked for most of his life as an automotive mechanic. He retired in 2021 from Royals Contracting and most recently worked part time for GCF of Wake County, where he made many new friends. He was passionate about spending time with his family, working on vehicles, and watching westerns. He also enjoyed sharing donuts and snacks with his puppy.
Johnnie is survived by his wife of 36 years: Jeanne Williams; three sons: Randy Williams (Teresa) of Chadbourn, NC, Johnny Williams II (Cindy) of Clayton, NC, and Justin Williams (Emily) of Raleigh, NC; three daughters: Jennifer Williams-Robbins (Marty) of Durham, NC, Joannie Williams of Cary, NC, and Kelly Johnson (Les) of Smithfield, NC, as well as several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, July 7th from 6-8 PM at Montlawn Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8th at 12pm, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 7100 Holly Springs Road Raleigh, NC.
Burial will follow in The Smith Family Cemetery in St Pauls, NC, located on Townsend Rd.
