Obituary of Johnny Burrell

Johnny James Burrell, 67, of Raleigh, died Friday, April 11, 2014.

Graveside Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday prior to the service at Montlawn Funeral Home.

A native of Warren County, Johnny was a retired landscaper and worked hard to beautify many prominent homes in the Hayes Barton neighborhood and businesses in the Raleigh area.

Johnny is survived by his sister, Sylvia B. Wiggins of Raleigh; special nephew, Hue Rodwell as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Johnny was also raised with eight cousins. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine Briggs and Carolyn Rodwell and his brother, Charles Rodwell.
