Josephine Lee Creech

Mrs. Josephine Lee Creech, 72, of Raleigh, died Saturday morning, January 31, 2009.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Montlawn Funeral Home from 12:00-2:30 p.m. Interment at Montlawn Memorial Park will follow.

A native of Wake County, Josephine was born May 20, 1936 to the late Sam Willis and Fannie Faison Lee. She loved spending time with her family sharing good times and laughter especially at Christmas. She loved fishing, decorating her home, and shopping. Josephine never met a stranger and customers would come to the shoe shop all the time just to sit and chat with her. She was a friend to all who knew her. She had a caring and loving soul and took pride in everything she did. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Creech is survived by her husband Cecil Creech; children Sandra Daniels and husband James, Sr., Donald Ray Creech and wife Cathy, Cynthia Jo Ashworth and husband Kevin; grandchildren James Daniels, Jr., Candace and Travis Creech, and Caitlyn and Emily Ashworth; and special friends Billy and Betty Jones. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charlie and Buck Lee and sisters Cassie Estes and Lois Ladd.
