Obituary of Josephine Jeffreys

Josephine Morris Jeffreys, 82, of Yates Mill Pond Road, died Wednesday morning at HeartFields of Cary.

Funeral Service will be 12 Noon Saturday at Montlawn Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. -12 Noon Saturday prior to the service.

A native of Wake County, Josephine was born February 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Jesse Carr Morris, Sr. and Lebbie Mooneyham Morris. She was retired from the North Carolina Dept. of Revenue, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a former longtime member of Inwood Baptist Church.

Josephine is survived by her daughters, June M. Jeffreys and Amy J. Odom, both of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Ashley Carr Odom and Dillon James Jeffreys; sister, Elma M. Campbell and a brother, Jesse C. Morris, Jr., both of Raleigh as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Jeffreys and her sister, Albertine M. Dillard.

The family would like to thank the staff at HeartFields of Cary and the Heartland Hospice team for their compassionate care of Josephine during the final months of her life.
