Obituary of Joyce Gibson
Surrounded by her family at Rex Hospital, Joyce Gibson, 68, joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
A native of Raleigh, Joyce was retired from Clearpoint Financial as a credit counselor.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Hazel Barlow.
She is survived by her sons, Walter Clifton Gibson, III and Martin Gregory Gibson of Raleigh; sister, Peggy DeBruhl; brothers, Larry Barlow and James Bruce Barlow; grandchildren, Kyle Gibson, Brittany & Dustin Woodle and Brandi Gibson; great-grandchild, Payton Woodle; her nieces and nephews Megan Barlow, Jimmy and Jeff DeBruhl and their families.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home with services to follow at 2 pm in the Chapel. A family burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in memory of Joyce to the Special Olympics North Carolina, 2200 Gateway Center Blvd, Suite 201, Morrisville, NC 27560.
