Obituary of Joyce Tyree

Joyce Elizabeth Tyree, 83, died Saturday at Wake Med in Raleigh.

She was employed with Corning Glass and AVX for 34 years. Joyce was a member of various social and civic groups through her association with her church. She was a very loving mother to her two daughters and a dedicated friend to those who knew her.

A celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where she was a member. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.

Surviving are her two daughters, Karen Elizabeth Mizell and Nancy Lynn Mizell and husband Kerry H. Good, all of Raleigh.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rena Morris Tyree and brothers, Grady "Pete" Tyree and Newton "Coonie" Tyree.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 7600 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27615 or to any animal rescue or charity of one's choice in memory of Joyce.
