Obituary of Joyce White

Joyce Daughtry White, 76, of Raleigh, passed away Monday afternoon, May 12, 2014.

Joyce was born October 11, 1937, the daughter of the late Elburn and Mabel Smith Daughtry. She was retired as the Dean of Students at Meredith College and Peace College. She earned her Master of Arts in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Joyce was very active in many civic, social and community events.

Joyce is survived by her husband, brother and two step children.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Montlawn Memorial Park

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
