Obituary of Juanita Barbour

"Nita", 91 years old, passed away peacefully Friday in Raleigh. She was born in Hopewell, VA, but grew up in Walstonburg, NC and was a long time resident of the Buck Jones Road area in Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wray Vaughn Redick and Myrtle Elizabeth Smith; brother, James Albert Redick; husbands, Elbert W. Circle, James Roger Barbour; and a very special friend, M.W. "Bob" Woodard.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Redick Bynum and husband Robert William Bynum, III of Stantonsburg, NC; a nephew, Dr. Will Bynum, IV and wife Faye of Rocky Mount, NC; a niece, Beki Whitley and husband Dr. Dan Whitley, Jr. of Goldsboro, NC; six grand nephews and nieces; two special friends being also Bob Woodard's daughters, Mrs. Joyce Byrd, Mrs. Dianne Bostrom of Cary, NC and their families.

Nita was a graduate of Bervard College, class of 1942. She is a retired employee of the Carolina Coach Company and a member of the Westover UMC.

A Chapel Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
