Obituary of Juanita Edwards

Juanita "Bobbie" McKenzie Edwards, 83, died Wednesday at Rex Healthcare after a brief illness. Mrs. Edwards was determined to stay by her husband's side and was a very loving and doting "memaw" who enjoyed cooking and being with her loving family. She was formerly associated with Carolina Model Homes as a secretary with over 20 years of service.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harvey Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Ben Lacy Edwards on April 20, 2012.

Surviving are her son, Gordon L. Edwards and wife, Dawn of Garner; daughter, Mary Lynn Bullard and husband, Bill of Raleigh; granddaughter, Ashley Lackey and husband Paul of Raleigh; grandson, Lance Bullard and fiance Morgan Weathington of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 pm on Sunday prior to the chapel service.
