Judith Irene Corderman, 76, passed away peacefully at her Raleigh, NC home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. One of four children, she was born on October 27, 1941 in Washington, DC to Wilbur & Irene King.

In 1966, she married Jim Corderman and together they had two children, Julie & Jimmy.

Judy was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and Shepherd University. She also earned two Master of Arts degrees from Shepherd University and Western Maryland College.

She enjoyed a career in teaching, fulfilling her passion for educating children. She worked for many years in the Frederick County, MD School System, teaching at Myersville Elementary, Wolfsville Elementary and Middletown Middle School. The culmination of her career was serving as principal of Wolfsville Elementary School.

Judy found great joy acting as the anchor of her immediate and extended family. Family tradition was of paramount importance to her. She was an effortless, gracious hostess who enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her beautiful home.  An avid gardener, she was known for her beautiful rose garden.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jim Corderman, Sr.; daughter, Julie Molgaard and son-in-law, Eric of Angier, NC; son, Jimmy Corderman and daughter-in-law, Nikki of Raleigh; grandchildren, Emily Molgaard of Raleigh , Alex Molgaard of Angier, and  Avery and Jack Corderman of Raleigh; brother, Jim King of Wake Forest, NC; sister-in-law, Ann Helton and brother-in-law, Art of Darlington, MD; sister-in-law,  Jeni Keyser of Raleigh; sister-in-law,  Patricia King of Garner, NC ; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Joe and John King.
