Obituary of June Randolph
June Ann Wright Randolph, 79, of Raleigh, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
Born November 2, 1935 in Blacksburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Walker and Judy Mae Wright Wheat. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Roger Wheat.
June is survived by her loving husband of 42 wonderful years, Edward Lee Randolph; sons, Jerry Leonard and Mark Carlton McCraw of Wilmington; step-sons, Kenneth Dexter Randolph of Raleigh, Edward Craig Randolph of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Mark Joseph, Cody and Carlin Ann McCraw, Grady and Christopher Bull; 7 great-grandchildren, including Gavin Anthony McCraw; brothers, Kenny, Ron and Mike Wheat; sister Linda Wheat; and many nieces and nephews.
June was a dedicated and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her beliefs were a tremendous part of her life. After retirement, June and Eddie toured the country several times in their RV, took an Alaskan Cruise, and spent a lot of time in Florida. She leaves behind a void in the hearts of everyone who really knew her, especially her life partner, Edward.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home.
A Celebration of June's Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.
