Karlie Juanita Underhill (nee Fisher), 75, of Raleigh, NC, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Karlie was born in Raleigh, NC, on September 16, 1949, to Winfield Thomas Fisher and Bluma Hood Adams.

Karlie was preceded in death by her parents, eldest brother, Winfield Thomas Fisher, Jr., her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Max, and her husband, William Underhill, Jr., of 52 years. She is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Franklin and Jennifer Underhill; her granddaughters, Riley Underhill and Lily Franklin; brother and sister-in-law, George and Barbara Fisher; sister-in-law, Arlene Fisher; Aunt, Jean Adams; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A devout Christian, wife, mother, Nana, and friend, she dedicated her life to caring for others and brought love and warmth to everyone she met. As a medical-surgical and hospice nurse, she used her skills and compassion to care for countless patients throughout her career.

Karlie was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping for antiques, riding the carousel at Pullen Park with her granddaughters, and cooking and baking for her wonderful and thoughtful neighbors. She loved food from all cultures and was especially fond of Southern cuisine. All who knew her
could attest to real butter, fatback, and bacon grease as staples in her kitchen. Karlie leaves a legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness, love, and strength. Her family, friends, and neighbors deeply feel her loss, and she is missed beyond measure.
