Obituary of Katherine Doggett

Katherine Forrest Doggett, 82, of Raleigh, passed away Friday morning, December 23, 2011 at Sunnybrook Healthcare Center.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Born May 22, 1929 in Athens, GA, Katherine was the daughter of Luke and Esther McMannus Forrest. She married Charles Doggett on February 6, 1949. In addition to her husband, Katherine is survived by her daughter, Mary Doggett of Cary; sons, Gene Doggett and his wife, Retta of Washington, NC, Ray Doggett and his wife, Betty, and Ricky Doggett, all of Raleigh, Jimmy Doggett of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, Dawn Doggett, Teri McEwen, Kevin Doggett, Amanda Johnson, Amy Doggett, Crissy Doggett and Kyle Doggett; great grandchildren, Cameron McEwen and Haylee Johnson. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Bernstein, brother, Luke Forrest and a grandson, Alan Doggett.
