Mrs. Katherine Mary Fulkerson, 73, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at the UNC Rex Hospital.

Born December 15, 1944, in Overland, MO, she was the daughter of the late Louis Henry and Laura Viola (McAllister) Henry.

Katherine attended Auxvasse High School and moved to North Carolina in 1984. She enjoyed a varied career and retired in 2006 from LG Electronics.

She loved artistic pursuits and to sew and to bake, particularly rainbow birthday cakes for her granddaughters. She also cherished the special occasions when she could celebrate togetherness with her entire family.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Dale Fulkerson of Raleigh, NC; by sons Jeffrey and his wife Melissa of Holly Springs, NC and Stephen and his wife Katy of San Antonio, TX; and by three granddaughters, Lauren and Lily of San Antonio, and Kat of Holly Springs. She is also survived by a brother Tommy of Harvester, MO; a brother Leonard of Windsor Heights, IA; a sister Jane of Chapel Hill, TN; a sister Shirley of Budapest, Hungary; and by scores of nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel at 2911 S. Wilmington Street in Raleigh, NC. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow on the premises in the Montlawn Memorial Park.
