Kathleen N. Byrd, 86 of Garner passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was born April 8, 1931 in Johnston County.
Mrs. Byrd was a charter member of St. Andrews Methodist Church she sang in the choir for 40 years, taught Sunday school and was the head of the benevolent committee. She was a wedding planner and the co-owner of Byrd Realty along with her husband CL.
Kathleen's family would like to give special thanks to her hospice caretaker Carla Anderson for her dedication.
She was predeceased by her parents Bryant and Mattie Norris of Coats, NC.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 66 years CL Byrd; son Randy Byrd of Garner; daughter Pam Byrd of Raleigh; granddaughter Brookie (William) Miller and great granddaughter Alexander Miller of Wilmington, NC; siblings Louise Pollard of Coats, Ann Messler (late Bill Messler) of Garner, William Norris (Linda) of Coats, Peggy Adams of Garner, Doris Dupree (late Robert) of Clayton, Jerry Norris (Glenda) of Raleigh, Brenda Johnson (Gale) of Dunn, Helen Kirksey (John) of Cary, Janet Stephenson (late GR) of Coats, and Mike Norris (Kay) of Coats, NC.
