Keever Baker Jr. was born to the late Keever Baker Sr. and the late Nellie Gray Horton Baker on March 23, 1940 in Franklin County, North Carolina. He died on Friday August 12, 2016 at his home in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Keever attended James E. Shepard High School in Zebulon, North Carolina where he received his high school diploma. After graduating from high school, Keever married the former Connie Lemoure Townes and they moved to Providence, Rhode Island.
To this union three children were born Stevie, Gary and Sheila. In 1978 they moved back to North Carolina and settled in Raleigh, NC.
Keever was a man that was full of life and enjoyed his family. He was a true missionary at heart and would lend a helping hand to anyone in trouble. A true work-a-holic, Keever was an excellent provider and the owner of Baker's Janitorial and Cleaning Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keever Baker Sr., his wife Connie Lemoure Townes Baker and two brothers, MacDonald Baker and Ronald Baker.
He leaves to cherish his memorial- his children Stevie Baker, Patricia Harris, Gary Baker and Sheila Baker, 2 grand-children Larry Harris Jr. and Dallas Harris, 8 great-grandchildren, his son-in- law Larry Harris Sr., two sisters, Norma J. Brooks, Neptune , New Jersey, Diana Young, Zebulon, North Carolina, two brothers, Weldon Baker, Zebulon, North Carolina and Kennedy Baker, Zebulon, north Carolina. Four sister-in-laws, Commilus Baker Bryant, Knightdale, North Carolina, Lois Baker, Neptune, New Jersey, Willie-Mae Baker, Zebulon, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
