Obituary of Kendra Hansford
Mrs. Kendra Lea Hansford, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, age 46, of Raleigh, passed away on Thursday, September 19th. Kendra was born in NC, November 12th, 1966.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James M. Hansford of Marmet, WV; maternal grandparents, Robert and Virginia Clark of Goldsboro, NC, and her mother, Sharon C. Hansford of Raleigh, NC.
Mrs. Hansford is survived by her loving father, Kenneth H. Hansford of Raleigh; Two special brothers Kenneth C. Hansford of Raleigh, and Kevin Hansford of Winston Salem, NC; her paternal grandmother, Marian E. Hansford of Marmet, WV; Nieces Paige and Meredith Hansford of Raleigh; Nephews Nicholas Hansford of Raleigh, and Campbell Hansford of Winston Salem; many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kendra was a loving, adventurous person who enjoyed living her life to the fullest, and positively impacting those she shared it with. Kendra's favorite things to enjoy were traveling around the world with friends, cross stitching, reading, and spending time with her family. Kendra touched the lives of so many with her positive attitude, the effects of her love for life and radiant personality are far reaching and with lasting impact. Her influence as an intelligent, loving, and generous person made the world better for those who were touched by her and she found tremendous joy in helping others.
Kendra Hansford was a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College and long time employee of Nationwide Insurance in Raleigh. Mrs. Hansford was well respected and she positively impacted many friends and colleagues throughout her career.
Kendra took great pride in being respected professionally and personally and loving others deeply. Those touched by her death will remember her contagious smile and happiness and with fond memories of her ability to show you how much she cared.
A time of visitation will be Sunday, September 22nd, from 6-8pm at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603. Funeral services will also be at Montlawn Funeral Home, Monday, September 23rd, from 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
