VEHICLE VISITATION AND SERVICES IMPORTANT UPDATE
In accordance with public health guidelines, new details regarding Mr. Barger's services are as follows:
The family invites you to be a part of a vehicle visitation to see the family and pay your respects to Mr. Barger. The vehicle visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Montlawn Funeral Home. Enter the MAIN gate and follow the directional signs to get in line to be a part of the visitation. The Montlawn staff will take your name, help you to sign an electronic guest register and guide you thru the visitation.
We will Livestream the Private Family Funeral Service ( Kevin Barger Livestream ) And everyone is invited and welcome to view the service online.
Following the service, friends are invited to attend the outdoor Graveside Service.
Please understand, masks WILL be required and social distancing WILL be enforced while inside the funeral home and cemetery gates. Obituary
Kevin S. Barger, 59, loving husband, father, son, and brother passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2020. Kevin is preceded in death by his parents Kelly & Jean Barger. He is survived by his wife Gayle, son Beau, daughter Brenna, brother Kyle Barger (Amy), sister Kim McMillan (Dan) and extended family.
Kevin attended Campbell University where he played baseball for the Fighting Camels and where he met the love of his life Gayle. The two were married for 33 ½ years.
Kevin was known for his quick wit and kept others around him in laughter. He grew up in Raleigh playing baseball and football for his father at Wilder's Grove and was a standout athlete at Enloe High School. Kevin coached baseball with Garner Legion, GBI, Wake Independent, and Wake Christian for many years. He also was an assistant football coach at Wake Christian Academy. He enjoyed coaching baseball and football and having an impact on his players' lives. His passion was sports and he worked as a Sales Rep in the industry for over 20 years.
Kevin also had a strong faith in Jesus and loved his family dearly. He will be missed.
The family would like to thank Montlawn Funeral Home & Cremation for their care and assistance during this difficult time. We would also like to thank the Wake Christian Academy family and Garner community for their outpouring of support. It means so much to our family.
A visitation and funeral service are tentatively scheduled for Sunday, November 15, 2020. The visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
