Lawrence Wendell Hicks, 79, passed away on January 9,2024 from kidney disease and liver cancer. Even though he was taken away from this world, his loving heart and sense of humor left a beacon of light for all in his community.

Lawrence is survived by his two loving daughters and son-in-law, Lori Hicks, Amanda Braswell and Nathan Braswell. He was a proud papa to three grandchildren Alex, Logan, and Jessie Braswell. He is survived by his lifelong friend and brother, Wesley Harmon Hicks, sister-in-law Ingrid Hicks, and loving niece and nephew Teresa Kitchens and John Hicks.

Lawrence was a proud member of Spring Lake Baptist Church. He loved his church family and volunteering in the church and community.

Visitation and Funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 17,2024 at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh NC.
