Obituary

Lenora King, 88, also known to her family and friends as Mew Maw, Aunt Boy, Big L, and Mama King passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 after suffering from Alzheimers for almost ten years.
She was loved by the many children that she kept in her home in daycare for 57 years, and she loved each and every one of them like they were her own.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Walter A. King; five brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are her son, W.A. King and wife Candy; daughter, Sue Helfert and husband Jimmy; granddaughters, Dana Clayton and husband Zach and Melissa Quiller and husband Brian; four great-grandchildren, Carson, Owen, Henry and Ethan; brother, Dick Thompson of Knightdale.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
