Obituary of Lester Jones
Mr. Lester W. Jones, 84, of Raleigh, died Thursday, February 21, 2008. Lester was a member of Emanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church for more than fifty years. He also loved Camp Dogwood, where he had hoped to return again this year.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Lester was born June 29, 1923 to the late Bill and Zola Ray Jones. He is survived by his wife Lucrata Denton Jones, of Raleigh; children Donald Carroll and wife Pat, of Raleigh, Shirley Huestis, of Saint Louis, MO, and Paul Jones and wife Dianna, of Portage, IN; stepchildren Sally Deans, Stanley Denton, and Archie Denton; grandchildren Juliana Huestis, George Huestis, Timothy Jones, and Michelle Chenette; step grandchildren Christopher Albrecht and Adrian Milian; and great grandchildren Alissa Chenette and Kayla Chenette.
