Levi Steed passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017. He was born September 19, 1928, to the late Carl and Iola Senter Steed in Harnett County, NC.

He is survived by this wife of 62 years, Annettie Barham Steed; his daughter, Dana S. Mann of Raleigh, and three grandsons Austin, Paxton and Cameron Mann. He is also survived by his brother, Sam Steed of Fuquay-Varina, NC, two sisters, Rachel Korpulinski and Polly Wise, both of Fuquay-Varina, NC; sister-in-law, Dorothy Barham of Lillington, NC and brother-in-law, Horace Higgins of Burnsville, NC; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Roy, Robert and Ray Steed and sisters, Ruby Burchette and Mary S. Lindsay.

Levi proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy. He was a master barber, a Real Estate broker, and an automobile dealer. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf with many golfing buddies. He was an active member of Carolina Pines Baptist Church as long as he was able to attend.

The family wishes to extend many thanks for the excellent care by the staff and volunteers at Transitions Life Care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Carolina Pines Baptist Church, 2655 South Saunders Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Carolina Pines Baptist Church with Services to follow. Interment will be at Montlawn Memorial Park following the Service.
