Obituary

Linda Adams, age 83, loving mother of four passed away in the late afternoon of 28 th of June surrounded by family in hospice care. Linda was born in Gibson Co, Tennessee. She was one of five children born to Lucian and Annie Marie Higdon. As a young woman, she relocated to the Raleigh area to pursue better opportunities to build and raise a family. And that she did. She and beloved husband, James "Tyson" Adams were long time residents of Willow Spring, Wake Co. Her impeccable organization skills and eye for detail made her career as an auditor for
Great American Insurance a success. She loved cooking, crocheting, and camping. Her home was filled with her handmade crafts from the latest crafting trend.

Linda loved the Lord. She was a member of Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church of Angier. She enjoyed worship and fellowship with her close friends there. She was an avid listener of gospel music most notable "Suppertime".

You'd only need to be in her calming presence minutes to know her greatest accolade was motherhood and her children the most cherished on earth. She was a dedicated and hard-working mother. It wasn't always easy, but she provided. She instilled her Christian values and work ethic to each one of them.

Linda suffered from Alzheimer's. She had lived for the last few years in a memory center at The Addison of Knightdale. Her signature smile and gentle disposition made her a favorite of staff and fellow residents.

She will be greatly missed by her family especially son Jarvis Ricky Capps and wife Shirley, son Harvey Glenn Capps, daughter Cyndi Smith and husband Richard, son Michael Capps and wife Sheila, nine grandchildren Jordan, Suzie, Jonathan, Chelsea, Kelly, Trevor, Cameron, Reece and Abner, four greatgrandchildren Carter, Alaina, Addison and Cade.

She was preceded in death by husband James Tyson Adams, brothers Hollis and John Higdon and sister Mary
"Jeannie" Ray.

Survived by four children, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and brother Jimmy Higdon of Texas.

Farther Along

Tempted and tried we're oft made to wonder,

Why it should be thus all the day long;

While there are others living about us;

Never molested through in the wrong.

Refrain:

Farther along we'll know all about it,

Farther along we'll understand why;

Cheer up, don't worry, live in the sunshine,

We'll understand it all by and by.

When death has come and taken our loved ones,

It leaves our home so lonely and drear;

Then do we wonder why others prosper,

Living so wicked year after year. [Refrain]

Faithful till death said our loving Master,

A few more days to labor and wait;

Toils of the road will then seem as nothing,

As we sweep through the beautiful gate. [Refrain]

When we see Jesus coming in glory,

When he comes from his home in the sky;

Then we shall meet him in that bright mansion,

We'll understand it all by and by.
