IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda A.
Brewer
March 1, 1953 – July 23, 2021
Chapel Hill
On Friday, July 23rd, 2021, Linda Anne Brewer (Rounsavall), loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, was called home by her Lord at the age of 68.
Linda was born in Texarkana, TX on March 1st, 1953 to Charles and Deloris (McDaniel) Rounsavall. The oldest of 3 siblings, Linda graduated from Palmetto High School in Miami, FL in 1971 and went on to graduate from Washington College in 1975 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. She married Robert George Brewer, Jr. that same year and they had one child, a daughter, Christen. Linda loved children and taught preschool for many years. Always active in church, she could be counted on for lending her musical talents to the church choir, and often lead the children's choir and summer vacation bible school activities. She was always quick to get involved at church and enjoyed multiple mission trips to Tegucigalpa, Honduras over the years with Athens Drive Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC, where she usually participated in activities with the local children. She loved the people she met there and sponsored multiple children over the years, so that they could complete their schooling. Linda was known for her bright smile, quick laughter, and gentle spirit. She shared the love of Jesus with all she encountered in words and actions. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Charles, and her mother, Deloris. She is survived by her daughter, Christen, granddaughter, Reagan, brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael & Susan Rounsavall and C. Thomas & Karan Rounsavall, her nephews, Michael & Kevin Rounsavall, and many extended family members and friends.
A visitation and celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 21st at Montlawn Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC beginning at 1pm. Flowers may be sent to Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603. But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
