Linda Byrd Cannon Linton of Gastonia, NC died on Friday, April 29, 2022. She was born in Raleigh, NC on January 1 , 1952 to Elizabeth Byrd Cannon and Bernard Council Cannon, Jr who predeceased her in death. She is survived by her three children, Ashley Council Linton (Kealey) of Raleigh, Brooke Linton Sumner ( Michael) of Moncure, Whitney Linton Brock (Brian) of Bear Creek; her grandchildren, Olivia and Kaia Linton, Steven Sumner and Libby Sumner, Jacob and Cameron Brock; and her sister Sandra Cannon Anthony of Raleigh. She is also survived by her partner of 31 years, Mark
Whitten, of Gastonia. A graveside service will be held on Thursday May 5, 2022 at 9:00am  at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Linda's memory to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
