Lisant Joyce "Millie" Spencer transitioned to her heavenly place with the LORD on October 16th, 2021, while living at the Bella Rose Nursing home in Raleigh, NC. at the age of 90.  She was pre-deceased by her husband of 63 years, Welesley Spencer and leaves behind her devoted children, Edris McNeill (James McNeill), Edgar Robert Spencer (Patricia Spencer), Locksley Spencer (Cassandra Spencer), sister Georgette Myrie and brother Ludlow Buckeridge, a special daughter-in-law, Marniva Spencer and many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a host of family and dear friends.   Born in Jamaica West Indies, she became a resident of Syracuse, NY eventually relocating to Raleigh, NC later in life. Her strong Christian faith was an essential part of her life as she served as a dedicated member of the Apostolic Church at 347 Cortland Ave in Syracuse, NY with Robert W. Jones, Pastor (deceased).

Please join us for a Memorial Service to be held for her on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11am. at Montlawn Cemetery, 2911 South Wilmington St., Raleigh NC 27603. The memorial service will be streamed online for those that are unable to attend. Due to the Covid pandemic, we are asking for those in attendance, please wear masks for the safety of all.
