Little Miss Alice Jane Alric
Little Miss Alice Jane Alric, age 10, of Raleigh, entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 31, 2015, in Wake County, North Carolina, Alice was the beloved daughter of Jonathan and Sarah Bianca Hollifield Alric.
Alice was always happy and content, filling every room with joy through her beautiful smile and expressive blue eyes. Though she communicated in her own special way, those who knew her understood every look, smile, and gentle "ghur" that let them know she was happy and surrounded by love. She had the most beautiful long eyelashes and a heart that touched everyone she met.
Alice loved taking naps with her sister, Nova, cuddling and snuggling with those she loved, and hearing her mommy's voice, which always brought an instant smile to her face. She especially loved forehead kisses and spending quiet moments with her family.
She cherished her special "Daddy Time," riding in her father's bright orange Dodge Challenger, especially on trips to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, where she was always spoiled by her dad. She loved the excitement of colorful lights, listening to music, and riding over off-road bumps in her stroller as if she were in a race car.
Alice enjoyed watching Mr. Bean and Cookie Monster and especially loved going to the movie theater to see The Wild Robot. She also loved listening to Sturgill Simpson, spending time outdoors, attending therapy where she could stretch and relax, and shaking her favorite toy with its colorful balls.
As a young child, Alice loved chewing on her hands and fingers, so her family lovingly placed socks over her hands that they affectionately called her "slugs," which were almost always soaked from her chewing. She adored her pacifier, especially when Mommy added a little honey to it.
She loved sitting in the chair snuggled close with her Papa and Grandma and loved Maggie her grandparents' dachshund. Her faithful Shar-Pei, Zeus, never left her side and remained with her until her final moments.
Alice had a playful spirit and would often laugh when her sister got into trouble. Every Sunday was Family Day, one of her favorite traditions. She loved sloths and reminded everyone of one with her gentle movements. To her family, she was the most beautiful little sloth ever.
Alice faced every challenge with courage and determination. She lived life every day as a fighter—a little rebel who never gave up. She was simple, humble, and had a heart of gold. Through her smile, her beautiful eyes, and even the gentlest touch, she expressed unconditional love for everyone around her.
Everyone who met Alice loved her instantly. She touched countless hearts with her strength, resilience, and joyful spirit. Though her time on earth was brief, the love she shared and the memories she created will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Alice is survived by her loving parents, Jonathan and Sarah Bianca Hollifield Alric, of the home; her beloved sister, Nova Rayne Alric, of the home; her maternal grandparents, Michael and Bianca Hollifield of Holly Springs, North Carolina; her paternal grandmother, Susan Galante of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; her uncles, Jeremy Geddis of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Ciro Hollifield of Holly Springs, North Carolina, and Alec Hollifield of Holly Springs, North Carolina; as well as a host of extended family and dear friends.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home.
A private burial for the family will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park.
"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."
Her love, kindness, and joyful spirit will be treasured forever by all who knew and loved her.
