Lois Jane (Stone) Jones, age 91, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed peacefully on April 14, 2026, reuniting with her beloved husband, Virgil C. Jones, in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born on July 10, 1934, in Boone County, West Virginia, to Berthel and Nettie Stone, who preceded her in death.

Lois devoted her life to caring for her family, a role she cherished deeply. She also operated a daycare in her home for nearly 25 years, touching the lives of many children and families. A faithful servant of her church, Lois was a longtime member and missionary at Athens Drive Baptist Church, where her kindness, faith, and dedication left a lasting impact.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Steven (Barbara) of Raleigh; daughters, Mary (David) or Fuquay-Varina, Jennifer (Robert) of Marion, and Norma (Richard) of Raleigh; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Donald of Raleigh, and her sisters, Phyllis and Elizabeth of West Virginia.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Athens Drive Baptist Church, 1601 Athens Drive, Raleigh, North Carolina 27606.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Athens Drive Baptist Church in her memory.
