CLAYTON

Lonza Henderson Lewis, Age 84, passed away March 21st, 2020. He was born in Edgecombe County on December 23rd, 1935 to William Eldred Lewis and Ruby Virginia Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Frances Ethyleen Lewis.
Lonza served as a specialist 5th class in the US Army from 1955-1963. He was a welding supervisor at ACE Fabrication until his retirement and he was an accomplished family man that loved life and nature.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory a daughter, Jacqueline Lewis; his nieces, Shirley Campbell, Mona Ward, and Jenny Passmore; 7 grandchildren, Eddie Kirby, Amanda Taylor, Kellie Ratliff, Dereck Kirby, Chris Ratliff, Joshua Ratliff, and Patty Foley; 17 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a chihuahua/ terrier mix, Lilly
The family will receive friends and family for a graveside service on March 26th at 1pm at Montlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
