Obituary of Loretta Brown
Loretta King Brown, 51, of Raleigh, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 after her courageous battle was won as she peacefully entered heaven. She fought a long, hard fight and was an inspiration to us all by her perseverance and determined spirit.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 - 9 p.m. Thursday evening.
Born November 9, 1960 in Jefferson County, KY, Loretta was the youngest daughter of Maurice Eugene King and the late Lorene Catherine O'Bryan King. She graduated from Pleasure Ridge Park High School. In addition to her mother, Loretta is preceded in death by her brother, Scott Gerard King.
Loretta is survived by her devoted husband Jeffrey Curtis Brown; loving children Scott Littmath; Alicia Littmath (Paul); granddaughter, Hattie Grace; father, Maurice King; siblings, Paul King, (Mary), J. Daniel King, Deborah Lancaster, Sharon Ballard (Bruce), Jeff King, Rich King (Angel), many nieces and nephews and countless loving friends!
Loretta was a generous soul who loved so many. She adored being "Grandmom" to Hattie Grace. Loretta enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Although we will miss her daily presence in our lives, we are comforted knowing she is happy, healthy and breathing freely.
