Obituary of Lorraine Mallett

Lorraine B. Mallett, 76, of Cary, died Sunday afternoon February 2, 2014 at Rex Healthcare.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd., Cary, NC. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 4 - 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Lorraine was born October 13, 1937 in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late William and Catherine Corey Dannacker. She was an avid Bingo and card player and could literally "Shop 'til You Drop". Lorraine was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel as long as her health permitted but her main joy in life was spending time with her family which she held so dear.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters; Denise B. Santana of Athol, MA; Kathleen B. St. Jean of Gardner, MA; Lora Yenchik of Raleigh; son, Richard D. Mallett II of Spring Hope; brother; Robert T. Dannacker and his wife Eileen of Cary; sisters, Barbara Madden of Stroudsburg, PA; Maureen Hollins and her husband Gary of Cary; grandchildren; Jenaro, Lisa, Brian, Sherri, Joseph, Justin, Jacob and Winter; great grandchildren, Atyana, Olivia and Javier as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Mallett, granddaughter, Abigail Yenchik, brothers, Ronald, William and Richard and her nephew, Joseph Hollins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd., Cary, NC 27513.
