Obituary of Louise Adams

Louise Adams, formerly of Raleigh, NC, passed peacefully with members of her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Ervin & Flennie Hobby of Duncan, NC, brothers, Eugene Hobby and Leroy Hobby of Apex, NC.

Left to mourn her passing and honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Goldie (Adams) Caulberg, her devoted grandson, Todd Caulberg and loving granddaughter Tracie Louise (Caulberg) Dixon and her husband, Bobby Dixon. She also leaves her best friend of many years, Nonie Stone to celebrate the fond memories they shared. Also two sisters-in-law; Maude Hobby and Christine Hobby, as well as many loving nieces and a nephew. Her last years were enhanced by her dog, Tanner. He was her constant companion spending his days in her lap offering unconditional love and bringing much happiness and many smiles.

Louise was a star basketball player at LaFayette High School. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII at the Naval shipyard in Newport News, VA. Louise watched NASCAR and was

an avid fan of Jeff Gordon. She retired from Corning Glass where she made many lifelong friends. She was a member of the Corning American Flint Glass Workers Union and was Treasurer for the local Corning Glass company workers.

Louise was a long time resident of Raleigh, NC until moving in 2004 with her daughter to North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Graveside Funeral Service will be held 1 pm Monday at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.
