Lucille Pait Crowder, 93, of Garner, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was born June 6, 1932, in Bladen County, North Carolina, to the late Zeb Vance Pait and Katie Jane Johnson Pait.

A faithful Christian, Lucille was a devoted member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired from Carolina Power and Light (CP&L) and loved sewing, working in her yard, and planting flowers. Above all, her family was the utmost importance in her life. She was a true homemaker who also cared deeply for her grandchildren, who were the sparkle in her eyes.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Zeb Vance Pait and Katie Jane Johnson Pait; her husband William K. Crowder; her son Garrett Vance Crowder; three brothers Junius Pait, Duewan Pait, and Robert Livingston Pait; and one sister Marie Pait.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Van Crowder of Raleigh, NC, and Sharon Lucille Crowder Brown of Coats, NC; one son, William Keith Crowder Jr. and wife Faith, of Cary, NC; three grandchildren, Garrett Wilson and wife Denise, Keith Crowder and wife Joanna, and Don Brown; two great-grandchildren, Isaac Crowder and Isabella Crowder; and one great-great-grandson. Lucille also leaves many friends and extended family who treasured her warmth and kindness.  She was loved by all that knew her.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home. Entombment will be private.
