Obituary of Luther Warner
Luther Dudley Warner, 79, died peacefully on Saturday at William Dunlap Hospice Center in Raleigh.
Luther was a graduate of Cary High School and worked his entire career with Adams-Terry Real Estate Co. He served in the US Army, and was a founding member and former chief of the Swift Creek Fire Department for fifty five years. Luther was a lifetime member of Macedonia United Methodist Church, where he served in various positions.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Shirley Tabor Warner; daughter, Paula Warner of Raleigh; sisters, Christine Dover and Eva Jones of Raleigh; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Molton E. and Jonnie R. Warner and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Macedonia United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church, 2700 Jones Franklin Road, Cary, NC 27518.
