On January 9, 2022 Lynda Nelson Winstead went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ.  She was 67 years old.  She is Survived by husband Earl L. Winstead, son Mark Winstead, daughter in law Kathryn Winstead, grandson Jake Winstead, Sister Judy Mitchell and several cousins. Her parents were John and Irene Nelson from Kingsville, Texas.  She graduated from H.M. King High School in Kingsville Texas. She was in the U.S. Air Force and afterward moved to North Carolina.  She and Earl Were married for 48 years.  She retired after 22 years as a Phlebotomist at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh,. N.C.  She spent over 29 years in the medical field during her lifetime.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 14 at 11:00, at Beacon Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Rabon officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial to follow at Montlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery Raleigh, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Autism Society of Raleigh, N.C.
