For those of you who knew my Mom, you know she was an over achiever! When she got into Girl Scouts, she couldn't just have an ordinary Girl Scout Troop. Nope! Not my Mom – she had to have a combination Girl Scout/4-H Troop! Whether it was Girl Scouts, 4-H, Re-enacting the Revolutionary War or Genealogy, that's just how she was, in everything she did.
For my Mom, Genealogy was not only her passion, it was her life! After finally breaking free from a 13 year abusive relationship with my real father, she pulled herself up by her bootstraps, discovered and fell in love with genealogy and made a name for herself in that field. How lucky she was to make a career of out something she felt so devoted to.
