Lynwood Earl Waters, 75, died Monday in Taylorsville, NC after an extended illness. Lynwood was a former Craven County resident who lived in Raleigh for the past 45 years. He also was a US Army veteran during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Annette W. Waters; son, David E. Waters of Raleigh; daughter, Theresa W. Goodman and husband Brian of Clayton; brothers, George Waters and Charles Waters of New Bern and Michael Waters of Georgia; sisters, Jean Hawkins and Glenda Bell of New Bern and Barbara Daniels of Grantsboro; granddaughter, Abigail Goodman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Waters.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday at Garner Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memoral Park.
The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Friday.
