Obituary of Margie Burgess

Margie Ellen Jackson Burgess, 75, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the home of her daughter Beverly. She was born in Johnston County to Ruby James Jackson and Eunice Mae Barefoot Jackson.

She is survived by her only daughter, Beverly Burgess Adams and husband Don of Garner; a step-son, Al Burgess and wife, Ann of Durham; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Gordon Jackson and wife Ann of Four Oaks; Homer Jackson of Newton Grove; sisters and brothers-in-law Betty J. Austin and husband, Charles of Newton Grove, Patsy J. Wise of Newton Grove, Patricia J. Stanley and husband Raeford of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burgess is preceded in death by her husband Frank Allen Burgess; a son Paul Glenn Burgess; and a step-son Steve Burgess.

Mrs. Burgess retired from Bell South after 37 years of service.

A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the home of Beverly and Don Adams, 1340 Old Drug Store Road, Garner, NC.

Flowers are welcome or the family requests memorial contributions be made in memory of Margie to a charity of their choice.
