GARNER

Mrs. Marie Chantal Cauley, 73, of Garner, NC passed away on December 18th at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Although she had been battling Alzheimer's for the last years of her life, Mrs. Cauley had nonetheless maintained her sweet spirit and kind disposition.

Marie was born April 14th, 1947 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Jere and Denise Towe. She attended high school in Fairfax, Virginia and later married her first husband Joseph Dykes whom she had met at the University of Tennessee. They had three sons, Michael, John, and Thomas Dykes . After this marriage ended, Marie worked as an RV leasing agent for a number of years at O'Neal Leasing. While working and raising her three teenaged sons, Marie went back to school to earn her nursing degree to go on to become a pediatric nurse at Raleigh Pediatric where she loved to work until she retired years later.

Marie had a wonderful, genuine smile. She loved her family and nothing in life gave her more joy than a family get-together or attending her church Faith Bible Fellowship where she was a member for over 30 years. She truly will be missed by many.

Marie is preceded in death by her mother and father, Denise and Jere Towe, her sister Jane "Tite" Towe, and her husband Anthony "Raymie" Cauley.

Marie is survived by her three sons and their families as follow - Michael and Kimberly Dykes with children Rachel and Andrew, John and Jennifer Dykes with children Mallory and Zachary, and Thomas Dykes with children Dylan and Wyatt. Furthermore, her brothers and sisters and spouses are Patricia Bell, Patrick and Nancy Towe, Mary-Anne and Robert Demme (children Rebecca, Alyse, and Sean), Michael Towe, and Johnny and Karen Towe (children Madelyn, Gabrielle, and Beverly).

Visitation will be on a Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Faith Bible Fellowship, 1905 Garner Glen Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603-4463. A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm. Services will conclude with a graveside at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
