Marion G. "Tom" Tucker, born in Monroe, NC on April 14, 1921, died Saturday, August 15 at the age of 94. Mr. Tucker was a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and had a career in Radio Broadcasting. He was a US Army World War II veteran.

Mr. Tucker is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Kathy. He is survived by his son, George Tucker and his wife, Libby of Greenville; daughters, Jan Donnelly and her husband, Robert of Melbourne Beach, FL; Deenna T. Carpenter of Clayton; Cindy Walker and her husband, Mike of Apex; six grandchildren, Ashley Tucker, Joshua King, Zachary King and his wife, Tia, Jonathan, David and Stephen Walker; and one great grandchild, Grayson King.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 6-8pm at Montlawn Funeral Home, and funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19 at 11:00am, also at Montlawn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to UNC Chapel Hill or the American Heart Association.
