Obituary of Marjorie Rose

Marjorie Carraway Rose, 88, of Raleigh, died Sunday morning, July 31, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH.

A Joint Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.

A native of Wake County, NC, Marjorie was born October 21, 1922, the daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Sally Ann Carraway.

Preceding her in death is her husband, James Lee Rose and her son, James Lee Rose, Jr.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Jackie Glossner and husband Wes of Tucson, AZ, Jane Rose Padden of Parkersburg, WV, Bethany Goodwin and husband Michael of New Hill, NC; and daughter-in-law Dorothy Rose of West Jordan, UT; grandchildren, Jenna Rose of Raleigh, NC, Elizabeth Smith and husband Buck of West Jordan, UT, Cara Hadfield of New Hill, NC, William and Connor Padden, and their father Bill Padden of Parkersburg, WV; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Jordan, Micheal, and Katherine Rose Hadfield of New Hill, NC, Stellan and Rowan Smith of West Jordan, UT.

The family would like to express their appreciation to everyone who is sharing their grief in the loss of their beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. May her life of true friendship, unconditional love, and faithful servitude to God and family be a shining example for all of us to live by.
