Obituary of Marvin Dailey
Marvin Ivydean Dailey, 66, died suddenly on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at his residence.
He was a native of Reynolds Ridge, VA and was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor with Gregory Poole Equipment Co. with 25 years of service.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Garner, with Rev. Lonnie Perkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Surviving are his wife, Jamie B. Dailey; father, Oscar Floyd Dailey of Reynolds Ridge, VA; Sons, Matthew Dailey and wife Monika of Charleston, SC, Jeff Dailey and wife Sharon of Clayton and Adam Dailey and wife Amanda of Raleigh; daughters, Jeni Kennedy and husband Scott of Cary and Christy Parker and husband William of Clayton; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Michael Dailey of Hillsborough, NC and Mark Dailey of Reynolds Ridge, VA; sister, Margaret Ann Gilreath of Abilene, TX.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eliza Edith Dailey; his first wife of 33 years, Jackie Dailey and a granddaughter, Jacqueline Renee Dailey.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 9:00 pm on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home.
