Marvin Weaver, a resident of Jordan Oaks assisted living in Cary, NC, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023, just a few weeks short of his 102nd birthday.

Marvin was born in Granville County, NC. He served on active duty on the Memphis cruiser in the US Navy during World War II. He was a long-time resident of Lillington, NC, working for many years in the parts department at Brock Chevrolet where he could indulge his fondness for
automobiles. He was also a life-time member of Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers, NC where he was a deacon emeritus.

Marvin was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Daphine. He is survived by his sister, Hazel Clark; a son, Bryan and his wife Vickie; two grandsons, David and wife Jennifer, Jonathan and wife Alex; and one great-granddaughter, Vivienne.

We would like to thank the residents and staff of Jordan Oaks, his physical therapy providers, and the staff of Home Instead nursing service for the extraordinary kindnesses they have extended to Marvin during his seven years at Jordan Oaks.

Graveside services will be held at Montlawn, June 5th, 2023 at 2 PM. Following the service a reception for guests will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home and Chapel.
