Obituary of Mary Allred
Mary Ray Allred, 88, of Youngsville, formerly of Bland Road in Raleigh, died Monday evening, April 11, 2011.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
A native of Wake County, Mary was born July 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Onnie and Maggie Watkins Ray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Allred and her grandson, Robert Lewis Stephenson. Mary retired from Hudson Belk on Fayetteville Street after 25 years service. Mary was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great mother who loved giving of herself to her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Brenda A. Washington (Hal) and Geri A. Plemons (Robert) both of Youngsville; grandchildren, Kimberly B. Sumner (Steve), Steven Stephenson, Jennifer Cain, Michelle Sullivan (Stevie) and Christy Gillikin (Cliff); great grandchildren, Madison, Brantlee, Hudson, Elizabeth Scott and ZuZu, and her sisters, Gertrude Morgan of Raleigh and May Rook of Florida and the late Evelyn Matthews of Garner along with several nieces and nephews.
