Mary Catherine Jackson Babb, of Raleigh, North Carolina, died on July 3, 2017. Mary was raised in the Jackson family homeplace on Holly Springs Road. She was employed at the Murdoch Center in Butner, North Carolina, until her retirement.
Mary is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins including her devoted niece Georgetta Underwood and husband James. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rachel Jackson Witgenstein and Bertha Jackson Earp, and her brothers, George Benton Jackson, Eldridge Jackson, Elvis Jackson, and Harvey Jackson.
The family would also like to express their appreciation to Mary's devoted lifelong friend Laura Simpson and her husband Bobby, who were loyal and caring and helped Mary in so many ways.
Arrangements are being handled by Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh, North Carolina. Visitation will be Monday, July 10, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Graveside service to follow immediately at Montlawn Memorial Park.
