Obituary of Mary Helen Boyette

Mary Helen Mims Boyette, 85, of Raleigh, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died Friday morning, January 20, 2012,

A Celebration of her life will be held at 12 Noon Monday in the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. A Private burial will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

A native of Raleigh, Mary Helen was born February 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Harlowe and Nora Park Mims. She was the Assistant Director of nursing at Wake Memorial Hospital in Raleigh prior to moving to Roanoke Rapids where she managed Guardian Care Nursing Center until her retirement in 1985.

Mary Helen is survived by her son, Thel G. Boyette, Jr. of Rochester, New York; daughter, Savon B. Willard of Greensboro; granddaughters, Kathryne Townsend and Joy Poole and a sister, Kathryne Brown of Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thel G. Boyette and her son, Harlowe Mims Boyette.
