Obituary of Mary Bryan
Mary F. Bryan, born April 24, 1923 passed away peacefully at her residence January 14, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her sister Josephine Keever of Black Mountain, NC: two daughters, Nancy B. Sammons of Raleigh, and Carolyn B. Hiltbruner of Holly Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband Ludd J. Bryan of Raleigh, and son Larry E. Bryan of Dallas, TX. Extended family includes Nancy's husband Ed, and their three children, Bryan, Jefferey, and Anna Jones, as well as Carolyn's husband Mark and son Kelly.
Mrs. Bryan graduated with honors from Mars Hill College, and received her Registered Nursing degree at Wake Forest University - NC Baptist School of Nursing. She practiced as an RN for many years in the Raleigh area.
She was a devout Christian and a long time member of Forest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh. Those fortunate enough to have known her will remember her quick smile, quiet personality, devotion to family, and love of good natured humor.
A Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Wednesday, January, 18, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-2:45 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.
