Mary Ann Chalifour Smith, 74, of Raleigh, passed away on May 1, 2021 while at a rehab facility following a partial hip replacement from a fall in April.

She is survived by her children, Leslie Smith of Raleigh, NC, Corrie Blair of Raleigh, NC,  Joel (Miranda) Smith of Jacksonville, FL, her sisters, Frances (Butch) Arnold of Creedmoor, NC, Margo Chalifour-Gill of Creedmoor, NC, grandchildren, Alyssa Occhetti and Liam Smith.

She is predeceased by her parents, Joey and Jo Chalifour, her sister, Renee St. John and brother, Timothy Chalifour.

Mary Ann was deeply loved and cherished by her family.  She was a true warrior, battling many health issues over the years and was still fighting till the end.

A private burial is planned for Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC.
