Mary Ann Davis Kinard, 78, of Durham, North Carolina passed away peacefully on August 21, 2019. She is survived by her two sons, Jared Kinard, Stanley Stevens and his wife Wendy. She is also survived by her brother James Davis and wife Gwen, her nephew Anthony R. Davis and family, several cousins, and grandchildren Elizabeth, Grayson and Caitlin.

She is preceded in death by her parents Kernith and Constance Louise Davis, and was Baptist by faith.

Mary Ann was a former dance instructor for Arthur Murray. She loved to draw animals and angels and has always loved cats. Mary Ann loved attention and would laugh when photographers called her "Sue Ellen" from the TV show Dallas .

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 26 from 10:00 AM to noon at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, with a funeral service in the Montlawn chapel at noon. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.
